A five-day/four-night temple retreat to deepen yoga practice will be held at the temple “Yochi-in” located in Koyasan,
◆ Overview
We are pleased to announce a 5-day Hatha Raja Temple Retreat by Andrei Ram in 2025 at Koyasan.
Koyasan is a sacred site of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, founded by Kukai some 1,200 years ago. It is a religious city in a valley above a mountain, surrounded by peaks about 1,000 metres high. We are delighted to be hosting a yoga retreat in this special place.
The temple where we will be staying is also a place of practicing for monks and does not offer the same services as a hotel, but it will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the life of a monk. We kindly ask that you respect the temple’s cultural and spiritual environment. Shingon Esoteric Buddhism and yoga have many things in common, and we believe that we can learn from them.
We, for the Japanese practitioners, are also excited to learn from practitioners from all over the world and we are looking forward to a great time with you, learning and supporting each other.
